Rainbowfamily adventures part 2
Apologies, just saw that I never posted this from 2018 ๐๐ฒ
We saw the Natural History Museum (got to see Dumb Dumb, and no I don't mean Super's husband, I mean Dumb Dumb from Night at the museum) getting to the museum was interesting. Romantically and what is believed on Facebook, we cycled there singing songs and laughing and joking while in a haze of butterflies and dragonflies. In reality, due to Sean wanting to save money we hired city bikes, yeh great. Yes they were great don't get me wrong. But they had a fatal flaw. You could only hire them for 30 minutes at a time. So around the 20 minute mark of central park we had to search for a new docking station. You are allowed to keep your bike you just had to pop it back in the bike slot wait 2 minutes then take it again. Simples hey. Well, yes simples but when there's so much to see and being that I am in a dream world all the time, I just wanted to pootle along and enjoy the sights. Not like last time when it was minus 47. So it was more like peddle and enjoy the sights while trying to dodge random Asian tourists who cannot ride bikes but clearly think they can, whilst trying to take pictures that don't give you a double chin or sweaty face and also while looking for new bike stations.
It actually was great fun, and Central Park is amazing. The museum wow, incredible and also the Library. That building is just stunning.
We walked across Brooklyn Bridge and gawped at that for ages. it's really quite amazing. We definitely did NOT buy more things from Tiffany & Co. New York is amazing but so hectic and hot, oh my goodness it was hot, hot, hot.
From New York we split for a few days, we headed to L.A and the other half of the rainbow family headed to New Orleans. Of course not without a minor hold up. In the sense of being sat in the lounge and everyone's phone going off within about 10 seconds of each others. To advise us that there was going to be flash flooding and also the message advised us not to drown (I kid you not). So we were delayed as always while the flash flooding did in fact flash flood us. After the weather we had when we tried twice to land in Thailand we weren't put off by a little rain, but clearly the pilot had other ideas.
We eventually did board and 5 hours later landed in L.A. Hire car grabbed and off we went.
